Today's article is a quick one, as it's mainly a video! I have had these beautiful Tenugui cloths which I bought from Daiso for a while now, and this week I have made a video, about how to gift wrap three differently-shaped gifts using Tenugui. Japanese Tenugui are a traditional type of towel, have a read of this article from the Japan National Tourism Organisation, which details the processes and uses for these beautiful cloths, and recommends them as great souvenirs (for more on our range of Singapore souvenirs, please click here!) While Tenugui has many uses, this video today is just about wrapping – wrapping gifts in fabric has the benefit of providing a reusable and more sustainable element to gift giving, by cutting down on paper use. Adding tags and ribbons of course is also possible, or you can let the patterns on the cloths make an impression all on their own! Three Fabric Gift Wrap Ideas

Floral gifts are the perfect idea for someone who loves gardens and beautiful blooms! Flowers can be so lovely to give and receive, but maybe you want to give a gift which the recipient can keep, whether it’s a floral birthday gift, or special anniversary present, or a unique Christmas gift which you can wrap up and put under the tree! Or maybe it’s a treat for yourself! In our Purple Waffle Designs store we have plenty of floral designs on a range of gifts, so let’s look at your different options for beautiful floral gifts for the bloomcore-inspired friends and family in your life. Why choose floral designs or flowers as gifts? Firstly, flowers have meaning and significance; in an earlier article, we’ve already mentioned books which contemplate the language of flowers. If you'd like to read a quick list of the flowers (and their different colours) with all their meanings, have a look at this page from Iowa State University. This informative page from The Old Farmer's Almanac can also tell you all about flowers for each birth month. Asides from the individual meanings associated with different flowers, my belief in the value of giving gifts with botanical themes lies in their large appeal - who doesn’t like flowers? The healing and regenerative power of nature is well documented, and to have flowers on everyday items brings some of this sense of renewal into your daily life. Secondly, there is a wide variety of choice and design style when it comes to floral gifts and floral accessories - from the ditsy, to the bold (and we cover some of those differences here) there is something for all tastes.
