Today's article is a quick one, as it's mainly a video! I have had these beautiful Tenugui cloths which I bought from Daiso for a while now, and this week I have made a video, about how to gift wrap three differently-shaped gifts using Tenugui. Japanese Tenugui are a traditional type of towel, have a read of this article from the Japan National Tourism Organisation, which details the processes and uses for these beautiful cloths, and recommends them as great souvenirs (for more on our range of Singapore souvenirs, please click here!) While Tenugui has many uses, this video today is just about wrapping – wrapping gifts in fabric has the benefit of providing a reusable and more sustainable element to gift giving, by cutting down on paper use. Adding tags and ribbons of course is also possible, or you can let the patterns on the cloths make an impression all on their own!
